Lenovo's Ideapad series is renowned for offering high-quality laptops at affordable prices. The Lenovo V15 G3 fits within a similar category, being quite comparable to IdeaPad laptops. However, this particular device leans more towards business use. With Intel's recent update of the Alder Lake CPU, we are introduced to a new version of the Alder Lake-powered V15.

The central processing unit configured for the internals is the Intel Core i3-1215u, a 12th-generation Alder Lake Mobile processor with 10MB of Intel Smart Cache for this new update. This processor is powered by six cores and eight threads, with the cores divided into 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. It is also flexible in terms of memory, supporting up to 36GB of DDR5 and DDR4 memory, operating at transfer rates of 4800MT/s and 3200MT/s respectively. The CPU also has Intel's UHD Integrated Graphics for the 12th generation, with a render clock frequency of 1.10GHz.

Additionally, it is compatible with various advanced Intel technologies, including Intel's Gaussian and Neural Accelerator, as well as Intel's Deep Learning Boost, etc. The CPU receives support from 4GB of onboard soldered DDR4 RAM, transferring data at a rate of 3200MT/s. The laptop facilitates a dual-channel configuration, allowing for future enhancement.

An empty slot is provided for upgrading it according to your needs. With this, you have the option to add an additional RAM up to a maximum of 32GB of DDR4 stick for maximum upgrade. Despite the 4GB memory as standard, the notebook ensures smooth overall performance.

For storage, a 256GB PCIe Gen-3 NVME Solid State Drive is in place. This drive guarantees swift data handling, such as launching high-capacity applications and software. The display utilizes a TN panel with an anti-glare matte coating, reducing reflections and enhancing privacy by limiting wide viewing angles. This feature enhances your concentration on the device, especially when working in well-lit, and crowded surroundings.

Powering the internal components is a 2-cell 38Wh battery, providing usage for up to 5 hours. For fast charging, a 65-watt AC adapter is included in the package.

The notebook’s construction is primarily from plastic, yet it offers a robust feel. It features Lenovo's best-in-class signature full-size keyboard with a numpad and a well-sized trackpad. Additionally, there's a 720p HD webcam at the top of the display, equipped with a mechanical privacy shutter, so that you can shut it at suspicious moments.
